Sooo Funny (to me ;-)

I don't think I have used my turntable in over a year. I was enjoying one of my crackly Dan Folgelberg albums (the first album I played after Ron connected the turntable and speakers for me) -- I had played it twice and realized I had not heard several of the songs I remembered were on this album. It wasn't until I picked up the jacket and looked at it that I remembered you have to turn an album OVER to hear all the songs ;-) I laughed and laughed at myself! I needed a good giggle.

  1. That IS too funny! I want to introduce my kids to your record player the next time we're over! They will be amazed! :-)

  2. I checked and collections of songs are still called albums even if they are on tape or CD. Kind of like "dialing" a phone.
Do you have the largest selling album of all time? I'll bet a nickel that you do.

  3. All right, Bill, I will take the bait and ask, "What is the best selling album of all time?" I guess I could google it, but it is more fun asking you to tell.

  4. Well.....
    The second largest is "Thriller".
The first is "The Eagles Greatest Hits". It smashes Thriller. Not even close.
Do I have to send you a nickel?

  5. If you care, I do have the best selling album of all times....do I know where it is that is the question. Ahhhh Dan Fogleberg you wouldn't find one better than that...once in a moment I came to some woods and I stood at a fork in the road. My choices were clear, but I froze with some fear deciding which way to go.....
By the way, you didn't have to admit that you played it twice before you figured out to turn it over.
    Be with you soon!

  6. Okay, I have had a chance to think about it and I've got it now....."once in a vision I came on some woods, and I stood at a fork in the road. My choices were clear yet I froze with the fear of not knowing which way to go. One road was simple acceptance of life the other offered sweet peace...

  9. very good sr, I just spent the last 45 min looking for the final line to that totally awsome song and you had it up here for me the whole time. What a great song of hope, strength, and the ability to understand that things might not be easy but you have to walk through them and never, never give up.

  10. So cool you still have a turntable to play the albums. Cracks me up about turning record over to hear other side. Boy technology has come so far.....I would love to put on my 45's and hear what they sound like today.....omg, my favorite goes back to my 6th grade party playing Elton John's Crocodile Rock, and flip over for Elderberry Wine. Back and forth, back and forth...ha! We really did need a DJ then!

  11. Judi said: Hi, Susan, Caley and Luke. I've been thinking about you. Hope you're doing well as you can. Hold on to all those good memories and cherish them. They'll both hurt and heal at the same time, but in time........
